ekgaon Internship Programme (EIP) provides opportunity to young and dynamic to identify their potential for bringing change. The programme aims at identifying young professionals who seek learning opportunity to create innovative technology and management solutions for the developing world.

ekgaon in partnership with Community Enterprise Forum International (CEFI) has formed a consortium viz. Community Enterprise Consortium (CEC) for enabling support for rural enterprises and helping build economies of scale by efficiently using information technology and building management system centered around primary producer communities. CEC has taken up development of capacities and enabling supply chains and producers owned enterprises in identified areas such as medicinal, aromatic and dye plants, microfinance, ICT enabled services, fisheries, community based tourism and energy. Three Months

Internship positions available in New Delhi & Madurai. Selected interns may need to travel to rural areas in India & South Asia.

Fresh Post graduates and exceptional graduates with good software skills in PHP/MySql particularly in open source and Linux OS environment can apply for EIP. Ideal candidate should be hardworking a team player, “out of box ” thinker, having a keen eye to details & a never say die attitude, should be confident and courageous to take responsibilities of her/his action. Should have understanding of market research, data collection, analysis and knowledge management.

• Stipend: Stipend of Rs. 5000 per month for the three months internship period
• Travel: Local travel, out station to & fro travel in train III Tier AC and/or Economy class to & fro air ticket as required by the project
• Resources: Interns would be provided all the facilities for undertaking research and project work, such as computer, Internet, literature and regular guidance
• Accommodation: While on travel interns could stay in hotels as per our norms. On request accommodation could be provided to out station interns (conditions apply) in New Delhi
• Opportunity: The interns who excel in EIP could get opportunity to join ekgaon's “Software Trainee Programme” after successful completion of three month internship period
